Maple-Dijon Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches

Savor the delightful combination of savory breakfast sausage, crispy bacon, and creamy scrambled eggs, all nestled in a flaky croissant with a tangy maple-Dijon spread.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large croissants, halved
  • 4 breakfast sausage links
  • 4 slices of bacon
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh chives, chopped (for garnish)
  • Olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Cook the breakfast sausage links according to package instructions until browned and fully cooked, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add the bacon slices and cook until crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon and let it drain on paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Reduce the heat to low and pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Stir gently and cook until just set, about 3-4 minutes. During the last minute of cooking, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top and allow it to melt.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the Dijon mustard and maple syrup to create a flavorful spread.
  6. To assemble the sandwiches, spread the maple-Dijon mixture on the bottom half of each croissant. Layer the scrambled eggs, sausage links, and crispy bacon on top.
  7. Place the top half of the croissant over the fillings and garnish with chopped fresh chives.
  8. Serve the sandwiches warm and enjoy your delicious Maple-Dijon Croissant Breakfast Sandwiches!
