Oven-Baked Pig Shots with Bacon & Cheese

These Oven-Baked Pig Shots are bite-sized delights featuring crispy bacon cups filled with creamy cheese and topped with zesty jalapeños, perfect for any gathering!

Ingredients

  • 10 slices of bacon
  • 10 jalapeño slices (fresh or pickled)
  • 1 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped green onions (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut each slice of bacon in half. Wrap each half around a small muffin tin cup or a similar base to form a cup shape.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  4. Scoop a spoonful of the cheese mixture into each bacon cup.
  5. Top each cheese-filled bacon cup with a slice of jalapeño.
  6. Place the muffin tin in the preheated oven and bake for about 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the cheese is bubbly.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped green onions if desired.
  8. Serve warm as a delicious appetizer at parties or gatherings.

Notes

Adjust the heat level by using less or more jalapeños based on your preference.
