- 2 cups milk (whole or your preferred alternative)
- 2 cups water
- 2 black tea bags (or 2 tablespoons loose black tea)
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (plus extra for garnish)
- Ice cubes (optional, for iced version)
- Cinnamon sticks (for garnish)
- Star anise (optional, for garnish)
- In a medium saucepan, bring the 2 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and steep the black tea bags in the water for about 5 minutes, or until desired strength is reached. If using loose tea, use a tea strainer.
- While the tea is steeping, in another saucepan, heat the 2 cups of milk over medium heat. Stir occasionally until it is warm but not boiling.
- Once the tea is steeped, remove the tea bags and add the warm milk to the tea-infused water.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, sugar, and ground cinnamon. Mix well until the sugar is dissolved.
- If you prefer an iced version, let the mixture cool down and pour it over ice in tall glasses. For a hot version, serve the tea hot in your favorite mugs.
- Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top, a cinnamon stick, and a piece of star anise if desired.
- Enjoy your Vanilla Cinnamon Milk Tea Delight warm or iced!
